Dungeoneering Weapon and Armor Rewards (F2P)

The main scope of playing the dungeoneering minigame/skill (whatever you want to call it) - is to put your hands up on those expensive rewards, especially the pvp-oriented ones. For reference, 10 dungeoneering xp equals to 1 token. Here's a list of free-to-play item rewards I've put up.

Dungeoneering weapon and armor rewards (f2p) + level requirements;

...Magic Rewards...

Arcane pulse necklace  - (30 magic and 30 dungeoneering required) : offers + 10 magic attack bonus and increased magic damage by 5%. Does not degrade. Cost;  6'500 tokens

Arcane blast necklace  - (50 magic and dungeoneering levels required) : +12 magic attack bonus and an increased magic damage of 10%. Does not degrade. Cost; 15k tokens

Nature staff  - (53 magic, 40 attack and 40 dungeoneering required) : Attack bonuses: +7 stab, -1 slash, +28 crush, + 10 magic, + 0 range. Defence bonuses: +2 stab, +3 slash, +1 crush, +10 magic with +35 strenght bonus. When casting spells, there is a 10% chance that a nature rune will not be used. The staff costs 10k tokens and is not degradable.

Law staff  - Has the same requirements and bonuses than the nature staff. Also has a 10% chance for a law rune not to be used and costs 12k tokens.

Tome of frost  - (48 magic and dungeoneering required) : The tome of frost is wielded in the shield spot and offers a +10 magic attack bonus and a +10 magic defense bonus. It has an infinite stock of water runes which is a great feature. Costs 43k tokens required and does not degrade.

Gravite staff  - (45 magic and dungeoneering required) : Attack Bonuses; +15 in magic and crush, -1 in both slash and stab, strength +7, prayer + 0. Defence bonuses; +15 in magic and + 2, +3 and +1 in stab slash and crush. The gravite staff does an additionnal 5% magic damage. It is degradable and costs a whooping 40k tokens.

...Range rewards...

Longbow sight / becomes Maple longbow(sighted)  - (45 range and 30 dungeoneering required) : The longbow sight can be attached to a maple longbow (or magic longbow in p2p) and provides a +110 ranged attack bonus when coupled with the maple longbow! The maximum range bonus for f2p now becomes 151, or +136 for 1 defence pures. The increased range bonus could probably make the sighted longbow a good way to train range in f2p, although I haven't tested this yet. The item does not degrade and requires 10'000 tokens.

Gravite shortbow  - (45 range and 45 dungeoneering. required) : Gives a +40 range bonus, which is 11 more than a maple shortbow. The gravite shortbow IS degradable - it lasts for 10 hours and you have to pay 1 million gold for a recharge. If the firing rate is the same as the maple shortbow, then I don't think it would be worth paying the 40k tokens required.

...Melee Weapon Rewards...

Gravite rapier  - (45 attack and dungeoneering required) : Gives a + 50 stab, +9 slash attack bonus, 1 slash defence and +48 strenght bonus, which is 4 more str than the rune scimitar. The weapon takes 40k tokens to obtain and 1 million coins to recharge it for 10 hours.

Gravite longsword  - (same reqs. as gravite rapier) : +45 stab and +63 slash attack bonus, holds 3 slash and 2 crush defence. Degradable item, so you gotta pay that recharge cost.

Gravite 2h sword  - (45 attack and dungeneering required) : -4 attack bonus on slash, stab and magic, +87 crush bonus, with a whooping +90 strength bonus. It also lasts 10 hours, but if one can manage to use it as a finishing weapon then it could a whole lot more. Like other gravite swords and staffs, it costs 40'000 tokens to obtain, and 1million gp for recharge.

What I think overall,  is that most items are on the expensive side... which is a good thing! Free to play (f2p) pking has long been the main attraction in the game for most players. The f2p wilderness/pvp does not need new and overpowered weapons to ruin it all. If you want that, then I suggest you head over to pvp in p2p and see how you like it. Now about the new weapons; yes, they will hardly be worth getting for most - BUT will create some sort of variety within the wilderness and rs which can be a good thing. Take for example; for the arcane blast necklace, you will need to save up your tokens all the way to 54 dungeoneering in order to afford it, and level 64 for the gravite staff or swords. I can foresee that most of the dungeoneering weapons will be used in the +1 pvp worlds.

If I had to choose a reward, I would probably go for the sighted maple longbow that could be of great use in the deep wilderness against main pkers that have high def (can't wait to see how accurate it will be!) or perhaps use it to train range since it's not a degradable item. My second pick would probably be a gravite 2h or longsword, though I'd probably do better just training my pure's stats up... Now what do YOU think about the dungeoneering rewards in f2p? worth it? what would you get?

to me, i dont think these weapons are worth the money. The magic weapons and necklaces are the most useful out of all the products. They are relatively cheap and they dont degrade. Seeing as mages dont really have much bonuses in f2p, i think it is acually good. Personally i think the sighted maple longbow would be the best pick. Jsut one question, have you personally tried some of these? or do you know anyone who has tried some of them. i would like to know how they work against mmonsters/ and pvp players. lol, and of course, i would love to see how they would look.

Sighted Longbow is worth it!!!!! It hits very accurate!!! I'm hitting 26s in f2p and I'm only 81 range!!!!!!

Anonymous said...

accuracey does not affect how high u hit so if ur hitting 26 thats not cos of sighted longbow

how am i ment to save up 90k tokens and 1mil to recharge!!!???? i would like to buy the 2h but it would take forever to get so ill probably buy the maple sight. when you equip the sight can you see it on the bow and can you take it of???

the gravite 2hd sword is worth it! after the new hp update i was hitting 123 and with my gravite sword im hitting 392 msx! its totally worth it. i suggest you save up on all your tokes. when you get 2 lvl 34 in the dungeon make sure you do everything... you get more tokens. i smith for about 1hr then go kill the boss and get over 1000 tokens good luck happy hunting, and yes the sighted bow is worth it. got 4m drop on pvp and im f2p

The longbow hits okay against rune armour but it's about the speed of a scimitar which pretty much defeats the purpose (especially since it's also 2 handed). Overall, I will find myself maybe using it for training on high defense monsters and in clan wars against armoured players but it serves no real pvp value.

the new longbow probably makes range the strongest in f2p. it is over powered.

The new longbow sighted is extremely accurate against melee and armored pkers. Its so accurate that its possible to effectively range in full rune armor.

collecting these many tokens requires skil mastery
nothing else

Mmmm.........sighted longbow has a higher chance of higher hitsplats than the vanilla (sic) maple longs or shorts. It's a good weapon for lvl 50+ like me who want to pwn someone in the duel arena from afar - or steal giants while fighting under Edgeville.

why a million for 10 hourss?

The longbow sight is awesome. I use to for Clan wars i can easily take down people from a distance and I like hit everytime. Makes me feel like I have hella good range =)

the longbow sight is good but yeah sometimes speed matters especially rune scim against a gravite 2h sure g 2h hits 300+ but how about r scim? 200 in two hits is better than 300 in 1 hit sooo yeah but g 2h still cool.. it rocks like hell!

still so many tokens for all the stuff...

arcane blast necklace rocks
it doesnt look much but the bonus percentage for magic that it gives boosts fire blast pretty high. With the gravite staff (its only half the magic damage percentage as the necklace) you can hit 198s! not only that u are also pretty accurate for a mage. Arcane blast necklace boosts 10% and +12 attack bonus.
Gravite Staff boosts 5% and +15 attack bonus

Longbow sight is alright but it only gives ranged bonuses not ranged str. So it wont hit higher than a noraml longbow but it is really accurate that u will hit every times. The bad part is that its only as fast as a lonfsword or something

im going for the tome of frost at the moment, but from what i've seen, the gravity 2h is better than the rune scimitar, it hit smore per minute than the rune scimitar.

because of the way f2p pking is, lol like totally for fun, idk what ne1 else thinks. For epic ownage like fully discriminitory hybrid in f2p would be epic. Gravite short bow, gravite staff, tome of frost, arcane blast neck also gravite 2h would be the ultimate mix if you saved up and only played f2p lol and had no life i guess that would be over 2 mil exp lol

I Think longbow sight is a peice of garbage...G2h is Great finisher i hit 192 so far on my level 45 pure it only has 55 str and average hp for my level is 45-60 so thats liek 1/3 hp right there, currently im going for ABN(arcane blast neck) then who knows what :p

why do i doupt that its 1m to recharge?

A combination of cash and tokens will cost you up to 100,000 gp and a number of dungeoneering tokens. this is straight off their site

Scroll of efficiency(sp?) is the first and only thing I went for so far, it's helping me to get to 99 smith.

First off the maximum hit for g2h is 364, anyone who hits higher was either in a members world or lying. I currently have an addy/gravite pure ( 45 att, 80 str, 32 def, 73 dung, 71 combat) and i have gravite 2h, gravite rapier and longbow sight. I would sugest getting the 2h first. It attacks as fast as a battleaxe and has a 90 str bonus (20 higher than rune 2h) witch makes it incredibly good in almost every situation. It is by far the best f2p weapon, and seems almost overpowered in f2p pk. The gravite rapier is just a beter version of the rune scimitar, only buy it if you have Lots of tokens to spend or you really want the slightly better weapon. The longbow sight is worth the fairly cheap token cost, it has a super high hit rate , making it great for staking or killing a high def opponent. Personaly i think the 2h is by far the first buy to get.

Anon. , remember that when you switch from range to a gravite 2h, you get on slash which is pretty innacurate. If you're on crush and switch back to your bow again, you get on defensive/longrange. I think it's similarly screwed up with the scimitar. I think that only a rune sword, or dagger or gravite rapier would make the combo properly work. This inconvenience is probably the biggest reason that keeps most people from getting a g2h.

@alex, for me, i got a gravite 2h and a longbow sight. When i go pvp, switiching is easy for me, because i use the tabs(f1, and f5). Just right click on the 2h, press f5, and then have it over the box so when u switch, u just got to click again and u're all set to pwn in pvp ;)

i think that the weapons are take way to long to get and arnt really worth it. the only thing is g2h if ur a pker if ur a mager its arcane blast neckalace and tome of frost because not only does the book look cool unlimeted water runes is killer. the law rune staff isnt really worth 12k tokens so the only good things are arcane blast neckalace coal bag (must) g2h if ur a pker and tome of frost

Anonymous said...

G2h is a good wep but think about it if ur a pro switcher and u know how to pk you will be undefeatable so if u got the money and tokens get rapier and 2h but 2h will last a lot longer if your using as a ko wepon
